Our Story

Established in 1996 by our founder Barry Stevens who, through his experience in the technology sector including as a principal for well-established intelligence provider, Spikes Cavell, had identified the need for a specialist provider of EMEA B2B contact data for the technology sector.

We launched with just 3 clients - TSG Software (still a client today), BGS Systems (subsequently acquired by BMC Software, who were by then a client) and Sterling Software (subsequently acquired by CA Technologies, who then became a long-term, valued client).

Our list of subscribers soon grew with major name technology vendors such as NetApp, CA Technologies, BMC Software, Gartner, Google, Amazon, Dell, SAP, HP, Juniper, IBM, Oracle, Safenet and Varonis joining us and thanks to our cost-effective subscription models many smaller, start-up organisations as well.

We have always been at the forefront of innovation. From the outset, clients received updates automatically and seamlessly via email-based database synchronisation. We were first in our field to move to a totally cloud-based model. We also expanded our coverage – firstly to cover all of Western Europe, then the Middle East and then South Africa.
